Readings Friday, November 17 at 2:00 & 7:00
With the launch of the anthology Hologram (Caitlin Press, 2023), homage will be paid to PK Page by poets across Canada who have been profoundly influenced by her. I am happy to be reading with those from the Victoria area, who will read their contributions to the anthology on Friday November 17th: - 2:00 p.m. at New Horizons Centre, 234 Menzies Street - 7:00 p.m. at Russell Books #100 747 Fort Street Sunday November 19, 1:00-3:00 I will join the readers of the Federation of BC Writers’ 2021 Literary Contests Anthology, Roots to Branches Register: https://bcwriters.ca/event-5477800 and a direct link will be sent to you. Past Readings: Oh, the long pandemic lockdown with its Zoomerization of poetry readings! (Although a few reprieves, like my in-person launch of Our Bodies’ Unanswered Questions at Planet Earth Poetry, and a wild mid-and-north-island poets’ road trip from Cumberland to Port Hardy with road-trip-buddy Linda K. Thompson.) But oh, the joy of reading with and for poets and poetry lovers again! Thank you to my co-readers at the following recent gatherings: November 5th in Duncan, 2:00 pm at Duncan Showroom, 133 Station St. Poet Laurie McFayden and I bracketed Debbie Bateman’s launch of her new novel, Your Body Was Made for This. The February launch of anthology Don’t Tell (eds. Donna McCourt Sharkey and Arleen Paré). April 16th we marked the 20th year of our beloved poetry writing group, The Waywords, at the venerable Bard & Banker pub. The Gorge-Tillicum Community Association’s October 15 afternoon of prose, poetry and music: “Exploring Identity”. I LOVE BOOK CLUBS! I’ll be delighted to read for your book club anywhere within driving distance from Victoria. (If a ferry is involved, I’m sure we can come to an arrangement!) See my contact link. |
