Poetry Bio

My poems can be found In Canadian magazines including Prairie Fire, Room, Freefall,The Literary Review of Canada, and Arc Poetry Magazine, for which I am a contributing editor.

Anthologies with my poems include Walk Myself Home (Caitlin Press, 2011), The Wild Weathers (Leaf Press, 2012), Poems From Planet Earth (2013), and the chapbook anthologies from Patrick Lane's retreats.

My three chapbooks include Sliding Towards Equinox (Rubicon Press, 2009), and Those Astonishments Of Sorrow, Of Joy (Leaf Press, 2012).  The third, The Gorge: A Cartography Of Sorrows (JackPine Press, 2016), combined my poems and paper artist Terry Ann Carter’s book design.

I am grateful for the annual inspiration of Patrick Lane’s retreats and the excellent writing programs at the Banff Centre and Sage Hill.  The poetry supporters of Planet Earth Poetry's reading series encourage both emerging and established poets.

My début poetry collection, Thin Air Of The Knowable, was published by Brick Books In Spring, 2017. It was long-listed for the Raymond Souster Award and short-listed for the Gerald Lampert Award in 2018.
